Protecting Private Property with Hitch & Haul Heroes
At Hitch & Haul Heroes, we understand how frustrating unauthorized parking can be for property owners, tenants, and customers. Whether it’s abandoned vehicles, repeat violators, or cars blocking fire lanes and access points, improper parking creates safety risks and liability concerns.
Our goal is simple: protect your property while enforcing parking rules professionally and legally.
Booting vs. Towing — What Determines the Action?
Every property is different. Depending on the property owner or management company’s request, we may:
-
Boot the vehicle
-
Tow the vehicle immediately
-
Or use a combination enforcement approach
π When We Boot a Vehicle
Booting is often used for:
-
First-time violators
-
Permit-only parking violations
-
Expired guest passes
-
Non-aggressive enforcement properties
When we apply a boot:
-
The vehicle remains on-site.
-
A clear notice is placed on the vehicle with contact instructions.
-
We typically allow up to 24 hours for the owner to contact us.
If the vehicle owner contacts us within that timeframe and pays the required boot fee, we promptly remove the boot.
If no contact is made within 24 hours, the vehicle may then be towed to impound in accordance with the property’s enforcement agreement and state regulations.
π When We Tow Immediately
Immediate towing may occur in cases such as:
-
Fire lane violations
-
Blocking dumpsters, drive lanes, or other vehicles
-
Handicap space violations without proper placard
-
Abandoned vehicles
-
Repeat offenders
-
Properties that request zero-tolerance enforcement
Safety hazards and restricted areas are typically subject to immediate tow.
Understanding the Fees
We believe in transparency. Here’s how fees typically work:
π Boot Fee
-
Charged when a boot is applied.
-
Covers enforcement, documentation, and on-site release service.
-
Must be paid before the boot is removed.
π Tow Fee
-
Charged when a vehicle is physically removed from the property.
-
Covers dispatch, transport, equipment, and secure relocation to our storage facility.
π’ Impound / Storage Fee
-
Begins once the vehicle is stored at our secured impound lot.
-
Storage is typically charged per day.
-
Fees increase the longer the vehicle remains unclaimed.
π Gate Fee
-
May apply if a vehicle is retrieved outside normal business hours and a staff member must open the secured lot.
-
Covers after-hours access and personnel dispatch.
π Administrative Fee
-
Covers documentation, compliance processing, title research (if needed), certified mail notifications, and legal reporting requirements.
-
Especially applicable in abandonment cases.
